The Forbes has announced the world's 100 top-earning  athletes. It has athletes from 23 countries and represents 11 sports. Most of the athletes on this list are from the United States - 65. 40 athletes are basketball players.

Let's take a look at the top ten - in the first place we find the boxer Floyd Mayweather, whose earnings amounted to 285 million. Two football giants, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, go next and have earned respectively 111 million and 108 million dollars. There are two basketball players in the top ten - LeBron James in the sixth place, and Stephen Curry in the eighth place. The top ten are completed by two American soccer stars Matt Ryan and Matthew Stafford.
