2017 and 2018 NBA Champion Kevin Durant, from designer Leo Chang, demanded a soft, foot-pleasing boot that allowed him to move freely on the court. To achieve this, Chang made the combination that has not been used before in Nike's history - he united Nike Zoom and React technologies in the KD 11

Nike React technology is designed for amortization, which absorbs energy efficiently. Therefore, the shoes are lightweight, comfortable and durable at the same time.

Kevin Durant prefers comfort and to the designer Chang told that he never tie his laces too tight, because the mid-range of gold in his comfort ranges between feeling like wearing socks or light running shoes.

Specially designed Flyknit technology – for KD 11 mainly used soft yarns that creates a sock effect. In this way, a soft-lining collar is formed, which makes it feel comfortable – that is what Durant wanted. This is something we haven’t done before with Flyknit," says Leo Chang. He also emphasizes the uniqueness of the technology used for this shoe model - Flyknit for Kevin is different from Flyknit for LeBron or Kobe.

The entire sole of the latest KD model is made of rubber and allows the foot to be stably held in place while suddenly moving and sprinting on the basketball court.

Long-term Nike designer Leo Chang says that "at first glance, the shoes look simple, but after looking closer they are really exclusive." In his opinion, the KD 11 basketball shoes reveal a perfect balance between a comfortable movement on a soft base and an effective amortization.
