The Air Max BW was originally released back in 1991 as part of the Nike International series. Sometimes called the Air Max Classic, the shoe’s ‘BW’ suffix refers to the striking ‘Big Window’ bubble in the heel. Although the BW has consistently been released in a barrage of colours over the years, the staunch OG Persian Violet edition remains the silhouette’s signature scheme. Born in the shadow of both the Air 180 and the AM90, the BW has certainly done well to cement its place in the history books.
