The Nike Sportswear EXP-X14 model is embellished with numbers, reminiscent of Nike's history and motivates a more active lifestyle. But what do these numbers mean?
The name of the model is EXP (expirement), because it was created through experimentation when Nike Sportswear designers applied the characteristics of running shoes to the new leisure boots. X14 was the original code name for the Nike React technology. The numbers N3546 on the on the outer side of the shoes is Steve Prefontaine’s fastest mil (3 minutes and 54.6 seconds) and highlights the rich history of Nike running shoes.
The transparent materials on the upper part of the shoes were inspired by the Nike Zoom Drive - the late 90's running shoes. Nike Flywire is the easiest and most durable Nike material that is made up of synthetic material and is designed to be fitted with dangling bridges principle. This technology ensures maximum stability in the foot - prevents it from slipping, and prevents the kneeling of the shoes. This technology is used to create the lightest running shoes, so feelings of lightness and comfort are guaranteed for the whole day!
