Get to know the first Air Jordan Wings logo and its story!

The Nike company has already decided to bring its prospects to young Michael Jordan and shape the future of this particular athlete. Collecting the name of the boots was taken on the advice of agent David Falk - decided to go ahead with the name of Air Jordan.

Designer Peter Moore, with Air Jordan 1 shoes, wanted to break the current barriers - basketball shoes were limited in color design and were lavished between black and white. He wanted to create black, white, and previously unused red shoes, but that was not enough for him - there was missing another extraordinary detail.

And she appeared very unexpectedly! Nike vice president Rob Strasser and designer Peter Moore were preparing to fly home after meeting with Jordan's agent Falk. The designer was turning his head - what could be the logo of Air Jordan 1? Upon boarding the plane, he saw a child wearing plastic wings on his t-shirt. Moore's asked the same wings from flight attendant - that's why he got a strange gaze from her. The designer grabbed a simple napkin and began to draw - he combined the wings with a basketball ball, creating the legendary Air Jordan logo.

The designer's final touch has discovered his place on the Air Jordan I's collar, which is still used on the lateral sidenwhere is simply not possible to spot it. Then the logo represented the path and career that awaited Michael.

The Wings logo was also used for the Air Jordan II boots, after which it has long disappeared from the series - it was replaced by the famous Jumpan. The first Air Jordan logo was returned just recently, along with Air Jordan XXXII.
